This was my 2nd stay at Taleju Boutique Hotel returning from my trek. Staff was very helpful, I had a lovely nights stay on 4th floor facing the courtyard of the hotel, which was very quiet and private :-) The only reason for the rating of 4 instead of 5 is my morning shower wasn't hot - the shower the day before was and the TV didn't seem to work (I did not report this to reception - I'm sure they would have worked to resolve this swiftly). Location wise the hotel is in a quiet side street, 5-10 mins walk from busy shopping streets which is nice and gives an opportunity to take in the atmosphere on way to Thamel/other locations of interest.

Staff from Januka and Pratikshya on reception to the guys serving breakfast were welcoming and efficient without being over-obsequious like some places. Great location in easy reach of shops and good restaurants. Overall a high quality and excellent value for money choice for those seeking a restful haven in Thamel.

It was on the edge of Thamel in a quiet side street so there was no traffic noise but it was close enough to the action to pop out to do some shopping or go to a restaurant. The staff were really friendly and the bedroom clean and comfortable. The breakfast selection was excellent for such a small hotel. I ate in the restaurant 1 night and that was great too. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I return to Kathmandu.
